Time to go turkey hunting…

leave a comment »

A turkey is an idea that just isn’t going to work.

Please don’t let this post discourage you from your great idea.  Don’t let your critical people discourage you from your great idea.  Do let your research take you wherever it goes.

Investigating your idea?  The goal is to get your product or service to market at quickly and as easily as possible.  And yes, we know, it will be neither quick nor easy.  But not doing your homework is a guarantee that it will be slow and painful.

There is a second goal associated with using your notebook.  It’s the goal that no passionate entrepreneur wants to even think about.

If it isn’t going to work, then the sooner you know the better.  The sooner you find the obstacles then the sooner you can start the HOW of the workaround.  The sooner you find the risks then the sooner you can start planning for WHAT could go wrong.  The sooner you discover that your WHO is 10,000 strong instead of 10,000,000  then the sooner you can revise, re-imagine, and revisit.

Did you know that most new businesses fail within the first year?  Sad, but true.

If your idea isn’t going to work as initially imagined, re-imagine.  That’s what ITERATIVE  is all about.

It’s best to learn that your 3 lb sausage won’t fit into that 2 lb casing before making commitments. That’s why you’re putting all your notes in the notebook.  And that why our first calculator is all about sizing your idea.
